Speaking of radio, one thing that I've been wanting to get involved with out here is a community radio station. Of course, no one I know around here seems to know if one exsists or not, so I did a quick Google search for Spokane Community Radio, and the website for KYRS Thin Air Community Radio was the first thing that came up. Seems kinda cool. Looks like they have a variety of music, talk, and news. Maybe I can take some of the hours of tapes from doing Kinda Cloudy on KFAI and try to get a show. If that doesn't work out right away, then I'll just volunteer and see how that goes. After all, other than doing big jobs around my parents house for $12 an hour, it's not like I have a job.
I've been amazed by the natural beauty of this part of the country. It is just breath taking, and I haven't even got into the good parts yet. I really want to check out the Hiawatha bike trail, and others that have been made out of the old train lines. I'm hoping some day I'll have visitors that will go along with me.
This is a map of the recreational trails of the Idaho panhandle.

Farragut State Park - about 20 miles North on 95 is really beautiful. Its on the southern tip of Lake Pend Oreille. There is also a Frisbee Golf course there that is totally rewd, dewd. Lots of hippies tho, be warned.
Also, if you go to Unified Groove Merchants (terrible name) in Spokane and talk to the owner (Tony, I think) he'll be able to hook you up with some radio contacts. I bet. It would be a good start at least.
Sincerely,
Rick Steves
Thanks Rick Steves. I'm glad to see you're into pet safety. Doggy bike helmet, and sunglasses to protect against UV rays. I'll keep the disc golf course in mind for when Lisa comes out to visit. She loves that stuff and taught me everything I know, which isn't too much.
And thanks for the possible radio hook up! Don't forget to let me know when you're back in this part of Idaho.
Disc golf course?? HECK YEAH!!! Let's do it babe I'll bring my discs.
I'd visit Idaho! I've never been there and would totally bring my bike. I'm glad you started this blog, it's great to keep up with your adventures :)
Missing you already,
Stacey
